Methadone Total Dose

(continued)

Navigate to the methadone record.

  • For Dose Units - select mg
  • Click the 'For total dose, use different unit of measure' so it is ticked.
  • For Total dose units - select mL
  • In the last box 'For every 1 dose unit...' enter '1'

Do the same for the Sugar free version of methadone.

When you use these drugs, the unit dose will be in mg and the total dose in mL

Some users of ScriptBase are being advised by Pharmacies that methadone prescriptions must be in mg but the to total dose in mL.

From version 3.76, ScriptBase supports this change. For new installations from this version onwards, the drugs database is already set up with the correct values to automaticaly put the total in mL. If you do not want this as the default behaviour, this is easily changed.

When upgrading an earlier version, the system will support the new format, but you will need to make a quick change to the drugs database if you want the new approach. .

From the Options menu, select Drugs
